I've been busy with the pieced borders on my Mystery Quilt, but took time out to go to the huge Book Sale which raises money for our local Police Crime Prevention group. Diane, I did some calculations and posted them along with instructions on my blog. quiltawhile.blogspot.com Looks like 2 yards focus fabric, 1/2 yard each of a secondary print and four bright colors, and 1 yard for inner border/binding. Your request made me think of a quilt I made in 2005 for a High School Band and Orchestra silent auction fundraiser. I used a large print with musical instruments, a smaller black and white music print, and primary color bocks that reflected the colors in the large print. My photo book doesn't have a source for this pattern, so I may have made it

I've made a couple raggy quilts, and I think the outside seam allowances were a half-inch instead of the usual quarter-inch. The pattern I used was Fuzzy Bear from Quiltmaker issue 118, Nov/Dec 2007. I'd pull one out and measure for you, except they're in a trunk which is now underneath all the stuff our son just brought home when he moved

For my little leftovers I have gallon size ziploc bags labeled in half inch increments from 1 1/2 up to 5 inches. If I have strips or squares left over from a project they are put in a bag with others their size. When a bag gets full, it's time to do a scrappy project! I keep them all in an old picnic basket, so they're out of sight, but handy
