• Re: Are You Ready For MQ 6?

Didash, I am a novice quilter too (only done 6 projects, and some of those aren't finished). I try and remember that many cultures believe that art should be imperfect (Amish, Islam, etc.) because only God makes perfect things. I know I can't compete with him! :) You are the only one who is ever going to notice that your triangle points don't
Judy, Not too sure. There is a 21 stitch Brother at the LQS that looks like it would be something she can learn on and go quite a ways if she really wants to sew and not terribly expensive. ...
I have the 10 stitch Singer that I learned to sew on, and it's still my only machine. 21 stitch sounds REALLY FUN!

Some of you find a lot of time for quilting!! I'm jealous. I can't remember the last time I had to find new projects to fill my sewing time. I always seem to have a backlog or 8 or 9 project waiting to get done. I'm off to SF this weekend, so new sewing for me. I'll catch up one of these days :)
At the risk of sounding new and perhaps not so bright, what is DH? I figured out SIL but can't figure out DH and if there others please let me know LOL
DH = Dear Husband I'm guessing DB = Dear Boyfriend? You should see all the abbreviations that get used on the wedding blogs I frequent!
For all you experienced MQers...is it normal to 'hit the wall'...'jump off the bus'... by step 2??? Somehow I suspect not....but being a newbie I have been de-railed already. 16 of my 96 squares were rejects. Now, I'll be thankful I used all 'scrap' material and NOT my beautiful 'Bittersweet'

I was scrolling back through trying to find a particular piece of info. So many pictures of beautiful fabric!!! All the eye candy alone makes it worth being in this group. Not to mention all the help, encouragement, and support. I'm so happy I found you ladies!

I have a general stash organization question for the experienced quilters. When you have leftovers from a project, how do you store them? Do you keep the pieces as large as possible? Do you immediately cut it up into strips or squares? If so, what size? I currently have a very small stash that is very poorly organized. One of my summer projects is to

So many gorgeous sets of 4-patches! I'm starting to think we should just sew them all together and be done with this mystery quilt. ;) It will be even more fun to see what the next steps hold!
