I don't think I'll need any ground walnut shells for the rest of my life...do you have any idea how big that 50# bag of shells is? The poor UPS driver carried it into the house for me, thank goodness, as I wouldn't have gotten it in by myself. Sonny had to carry it into the quasi sewing/storage room. I think I might just have to let him

No sewing today, just yard work. Got the pictures back from TaeKwonDo last night. Here is a picture of my 3 oldest grandsons.
Cute chickens, Karla! It looks like they are singing in unison. Is that a price tag I see on one? If so, what price are you finding works well? I'm thinking about our church bazaar and wondering if $8.00 would be too much.
The price tag he put on the first one I made for him was $10 which I think is a fair
Karla I like your chicks what are they for?
My oldest grandson wants to try to sell them at a craft faire...along with the survival bracelets he makes. The next craft faire at the school isn't until November so I should be able to make him several more as the mood strikes me.

  • Re: Introducing myself, Hello from upstate NY

Welcome Charlotte. I'm in Nevada and pretty isolated from other quilters (in other words although we have a Quilt Shop, I haven't really met any other quilters except the owner of the shop) so I really enjoy all the comraderie (sp?) on this site.

My wish list: Singer Featherweight, circa 1949 Long Arm (I have a midarm, but find it is now hampering my creativity). A bigger house to put everything in, including a dedicated sewing room that is at least 20 X 30 feet with building in cabinets along one wall and super lighting. I think I could go on forever and ever with this list....

Barbara, how close is Thea to all of this tornadic devastion? Haven't seen her online in a couple of days and know she reported a tree falling on her house. Have you had contact with her?

Finished another Letty's Bag this morning and got the eyes sewn on several chickens. Here is a picture of this weekends projects and then I've got to go out and so some more yard work. Seems like it is never done as the weeds grow faster than I can pull them. The chicken on the far right is the one I made in Branson. The one on the far left
