[quote user="Judy T-Bellingham"] Karla, ouch! Glad your hubby didn't break anything although bruises and sprains can be just as painful. I've also been a little constrained the past few days with my own hubby's health problems. We're waiting for the results of a CT scan. He's been pretty much down this past week but today

I spent Monday and Tuesday at the VA Hospital trying to ge DH fixed up. Good thing is that he didn't break or fracture any bones with his fall from the ladder. Severely bruised and sprained back, but in week or two he should be good as new, LOL. But those were two days lost for my plan to catch up with my quilting projects. This morning, after watering

After making breakfast and starting the laundry, waiting on DH...I decided to quilt. Finished the blocks and borders for the baby quilt and got it loaded on the frame. Now trying to come up with the energy to start the quilting. Good thing about these small baby quilts, I'm able to use up many scraps (for the stars and pinwheels) and also some large

You're very welcome, Candis. They were fun to make, but I think they're a little wonky. It's hard to sew with a baby on your lap, LOL.

Kathy, I heartily agree with everything you said. I think part of it is that we don't act old like our parents and grandparents may have done when in their 60's and 70's, and so now our children don't think of us as old, LOL. My mind says I'm not old, but my body and stamina beg to differ.

CC, sorry I haven't made it to the post office to get a money order and the deposit mailed to you...I seem to be out of checks (seldom use them so don't why I am out, maybe I've hidden them and just haven't found my hiding spot yet)...but I will try to do better next week. DD1 is on vacation so I'll only have the 2 boys to taxi around

I agree with everything said here about caring for your parents. My Dad is 89 next week and still cares for himself, but it is scary. He forgets so many things and still walks the neighborhood daily when he is up to it. He was walking 5 miles a day but hips are bothering him now so he has cut down his walking. He still lives alone, although my sister

I can't believe that I keep losing my posts before I'm finished typing them. Anyway, I am still here and guess I better start copying before I'm done with the message so I don't have to keep retyping the whole thing. I am so far behind on my quilting projects and keeping up with the posts on this site. I guess I'm not quite the super

Not worth driving 50 miles for....cost of gas was more than you saved in fabric price I'm sure.

[quote user="weezee56"] Karla, My DGS1(he is 6) will be staying over night with us 3 nights this week because Mom and Dad have work and school. His school will be on spring break. So to Grandma house he will go. I love him to death, but he is very demanding, wants me to play with him all the time. My batteries will be on a negative charge
