Yes, I'm new to Bargello. I've always admired them, never done one. They look very complex. I love the ones with the most movement in them. I guess more colors is better but I have no idea where to start. Is it better to use Batiks for Bargellos?

I'm not sure how to do a search on a topic within the Canadian Group discussion. So I'll start fresh. Just doing a small Christmas wall hanging for a gift and using a metallic thread to do some free motion quilting. The Sulky metallic thread keeps breaking. Metallic speciality needles too. I've adjusted (lowered my upper tension). Tried

I have a Husqvarna Viking - Topaz 30 embroidery machine. When I do embroidery I have had problems with loopy thread under neath and thread bunching. I've taken my machine in twice and they can never find anything wrong with it. I use fabric sizing, good quality stabilizers and good needles. They say it might be the thread I'm using. Has anyone

I am doing a quilt as you go 16 1/2" blocks and want to place them on a diagonal. I'm not sure how to figure out what size triangles I need to add to the end of each row and the top corners. Since this is my first attempt at diagonal quilting I need all the help I can get. Thanks,

This is my 2nd Grand daughters beautiful rag quilt. I love to make them; and made this one extra special by embroidering her name and birth date and weight in the middle square.

Made this quilt for a friend of mine after her husband died suddenly. She gave me a bag of ties of his. My husband doesn't wear ties, and I remembered seeing a quilt made with ties before. So I combined a memory quilt with her husband's ties. What a perfect keepsake for my friend.

Reverse applique technique done with black fabric atop a batik fabric. The design is sewn onto the black and then cut away to create the design you see here. This method was taught by the singing quilter - Cathy Miller at a class in Winnipeg, MB.

This is a breast cancer survivor quilt that I made for friends who have battled breast or any other cancer. It is to share amongst them when they go through treatment. I hope that they feel the love and support of others who have gone down the path they are walking.

This table runner was made for a wonderful couple for their 50th wedding anniversary. The actual pattern chosen was a combination of 2 patterns I put together to make my own. I've yet to follow a pattern completely! That must be my artistic self coming out (lol)
