• Re: Marking dark fabric

Hi, Judy! Do you have enough of your dark fabric and wash away stabilzer to do a small test piece? That would be the only suggestion I have for your situation. Let me know how it works, or what solution you finally arrive at. I have a similar embroidery piece I want to do on a dark gray fabric. Max in Topeka

  • Downtown Logville

I have been free-piecing scraps into blocks for the last few years. I finally had enough log cabin-ish blocks to assemble a lap quilt top that is 50 X 58 inches. The background is charcoal gray. The way the blocks went together reminded me of buildings on a city map...so it is named Downtown Logville. This lap quilt will be a donation quilt.

Hi ya'll!!! I'm still here, too! But lurking more than typing. (Dumb old hands only cooperate so much and I'd rather use them sewing than typing.) I check in everyday and see what is going on. Haven't been able to do much sewing on my sewing machines since last November. It seems my sewing room has become a 'staging area' for

tnmtgrl, love your MQ! Good job! Thought I'd drop in for a few minutes and let you all know I'm making progress....slow, but progress just the same. I've been able to cut back on my pain meds to once a day. Sort of miss them...they reminded me a lot of the 70's. DH has abandoned me. He went back to work on Tuesday. I just don't understand

Hello all! Been so long since I've been able to get on I know I can't possibly catch up so I'll just jump in. Ginny, thoughts and prayers for the new baby and momma! Today it got above freezing for the first time in two weeks. Supposed to have a little warming trend for a few more days, but the weatherman warned he is watching a storm building
But you forgot to mention you were using Inklingo to do these gorgeous stars. You are a great testimonial as you've been avoiding blocks like this...until you tried Inklingo.
Donna, You're absolutely right! I got so excited at how my Kaleidoscope Stars were turning out I forgot to give credit as to 'how'

Its been a cold and gloomy day...just plain ole dreary. But DH was at work, out from under foot, and I didn't have a thing on the schedule except playing with fabric. Here's the fabric: And here's what I did with it: Now I understand that it is ill mannered and rude and all that stuff to be 'prideful'. But I am about to break my
