  • Re: Free Motion Quilting

Thanks everyone (oh, and I hope no one took my 2nd post as offensive, after I reread it .... I sounded kind of snotty, but I didn't mean it that way at all)! Pat, I will have to try playing with my machine. Oh, and I have heard of that other machine, but I can't see paying that kind of money for 1 stitch (at least not anytime in the near future

I'm guessing that either this was a stupid question, or no one knows what in the world I'm talking about.

  • Re: What are you up to today? #3

What am I up to today? Well.... I'm going to really try to finish this free motion quilting project I've been practicing on. (nothing exciting, just a panel - though I think it's very pretty with sunflowers and such) Some of it is coming out pretty good and other parts are TERRIBLE! Though I'm finding that I enjoy curly cues and stippling

  • Free Motion Quilting

I was looking at some of the beautiful quilts in the gallery, and I was wondering how to get the machine stitching so there is that little space between the stitches. Mine all seem to run together. Cassie

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and compliments on my work. :) I LOVE looking at others fabric stash - thanks for sharing! I just scored 2 big boxes of fabric from someone I know. It was so much fun going through all of it, especially after I read the contest that you all had with the "ugliest fabric." Even though some of them were

Thank you Susan and Marie for the welcome :) I haven't been to a meeting in my area, mostly because they hold them in the evenings, and my husband is usually at work, and I have the kids :( Someday I'll get there, so I guess for now I'll just have online buddies :)

  • Sunbonnet Sue

I posted this here because it really not "quilting," but it's still sewing so I wasn't sure where to put it. I made one of the Sunbonnet Sue doorstops a few years ago - http://www.freepatterns.com/detail.html?code=FS00074&cat_id=452 and I would LOVE to have a matching boy one. I was wondering if anyone knew of a pattern for one

Thanks Pat! I've posted my projects on my blog http://myquiltingquarters.blogspot.com/ There are some posts that aren't quilts, and I've only done about 4 quilts from start to finish that I posted there, but I'm working on a few things currently as well.

  • Re: Ugly Fabric Quilt Round 2?

What I loved about that thread was seeing how ugly a few of those fabrics really were, but when they were put into the quilt they were amazing! Makes me rethink some of the "ugly" fabrics in my stash. Hmmm.....
