  • Under the Sea

The colors reminded me of all the different colors of the ocean that I've seen thus the name of the quilt. I was looking for a way to use up some of my stash and had 16 of the 20 fabrics used in the quilt. I will definitely make more of these as there is so much flexibility with what you can do with these.

  • Spring Sprouts

This was a moda fabrics kit with Laser cut fusible shapes for the applique. Everything was done in batiks and for the most part I liked the fabrics it came with. I did switch out a few of the star fabrics and added the border to make it a little bigger and I think the border just made the quilt. I really liked using the laser cut fusibles. It made applique

  • Curved log cabin

This was my first log cabin. I tried to have a structured scrappy look to it, but by the end, was just happy to have it done..1500 pieces is a lot for 1 quilt...LOL.

  • One Block Wonder

I'm in love with the one block wonder. Such an easy quilt to make and the look is very cool. The original fabric is an asian looking fabric with Koi in it. I'll post a picture of the fabric next. I was going to cut out a bunch of the Koi and applique them going into and out of the quilt, but after putting the borders on, I'm thinking I like

  • Simple Bands Wedding Ring

This quilt was made using the simple bands ruler. The bands were made using Jody Bergsma's (Robert Kaufman) fabric. I think her fabric is just gorgeous! This is a pretty simple pattern but takes time due to all the pinning you have to do to get the curves exact.

Love the top block - looks like you're looking down at a city of skyscrapers from above.

I took this class to learn how to do pinwheels and kaleodescopes. The quilt squares are made using the border fabric only. The quilt also had a couple more first for me. It was my first time adding piping and flang to the quilt. I love how this turned out and the quilting on it is exquisite. Will add a couple more pictures. Enjoy!!

  • Entwined

This quilt was a ton of work. I love the end result, but didn't realize it was going to be as much work as it turned out to be. This is built similar to a bargello with the sewing of long strips and then cutting down the strips to the sizes needed, then unsewing and resewing them back together. I do love the end result though and am really happy
