  • Emergency stabalizer for applique

    The other night I was working late into the night to finish some applique for a birthday gift when I ran out of stabilizer! What to do, what to do??? I needed it finished for the party in the morning. Desperate to finish the job, I took a piece of a heavy paper towel and used it and boy did it ever do the job!   • glue on your iron

    I love to do all types of applique . Some patterns ask you to iron heat and bond to the back of small fabric pieces and sometimes I get a bit of heat and bond glue on my iron. Nothing worse than having a sticky iron! I have discovered a great way to clean the glue off. Take a dryer sheet and scrub on the bottom of your warm iron and presto the glue
