Try lessening the pressure of your presser foot. Most people have sew with too much pressure. The amount of pressure should be just enough to keep the fabric from slipping out. A quilt is so much thicker that the fabrics that we regularly sew. This means that each time you do machine quilting after regular sewing, you will need to lessen the pressure

Here are my part 1 blocks so far. I am still working on the four patches as I never strip piece. I like to handle my fabrics and projects so I want all seams to be locked so they won't be coming apart before they get into the quilt.

I'm in! This will be my first mystery quilt and my first quilt-along. I'm excited! I pulled fabrics last night, from what I already have at home and will get a picture of them posted tomorrow. I can't wait to see other quilter's fabric choices!
