You know, I remember that show and I'm not that old (I'm only 29!). I forgot to show you guys what I made as a side project. Remember when I had to square my blocks so that I could cut them at an angle to change the look? Well, I couldn't just throw out the 1/2" wide strips could I? NO!! I decided to make my daughter a few pot holders

This is what has taken me a while to catch up with my mystery. I have 2 out of 6 completely done, the others I have to add the cuff and lining. I did finish my mystery top though and here it is... Nana, where do we find the voting link? I have looked and cannot find it.... Everyone's quilts that I have seen so far are awesome! Thank you again Nana

Lcqulter46 your quilt looks great. Wish I would have seen this before I made my strips. Oh we'll. I can do that on the next quilt right ;)

So I was thinking about the stripped border and wondering if I could change it and it still look good. I was thinking about sewing all the strips together and then making cuts at a 45 degree angle so that the strips weren't straight. Do you guys think that would look ok and if so, how much more fabric so you think I would need? Thanks for the help

Marie I know for some reason my blocks do look a little busier but I only cut it once across the big square.
