I was going to take a long break after making the Primitive Garden applique quilt but then found the Alaphabet pattern. My husband and I took a months vacation to see family in Texas and what did I take with me, yep you guessed it, my new pattern and lots of fabric. I completed most of the appliques while away and finished the quilt a couple of days

King size quilt 101" x 101" The diamonds and square blocks are made log cabin style. The bottom of the quilt is draping the floor from lack of photo taking space. Pattern came from Keepsake Quilting.

This was a block of the month (all applique) that I finished recently. I enjoyed the monthly blocks and also enjoyed the applique.

I had a lot of left over fabric from the two Tootie Patootie quilts so used most of them to make this quilt.

I've been using up Christmas material before buying more. I also added some machine embroidery.

I enjoyed making this Christmas quilt with lots of applique. I saw this pattern in a magazine while I still worked full time and wasn't into quilting. After retirement I tried to locate the pattern and almost gave up on getting it until I finally found it. :)

After seeing what can be done with quilts I decided to make a small wall hanging and paint the finished quilt.
