I finally put the borders on. Not quite like the pattern called for, but it is what it is! Interestingly enough, all of the fabric is vintage feedsack material from a farm auction. The fabric worked out great for this pattern. After Christmas I will piece some more feedsacks for the backing. I am going to use ones with words printed, like "Turkey

Is there a background fabric in addition to the FQ/Charm Roll requirements?

What is the size of the MQ 7 without borders?

I am wondering the same thing. What is the size of the MQ 7 quilt? Before borders? and/or With borders as written? Marcia

I haven't finished the border(s), but here is my progress so far. Still sewing on the ribbon blocks and I will try to incorporate the "bonus" squares either in the border(s) or backing. I must get to sewing as I need to get this off the floor before Thanksgiving dinner (and I really don't want it to go in the "unfinished"

I am still working on sewing and incorporating the "ribbon" blocks and "bonus" squares (somehow) into the borders which you see around the sides of the completed center. I try to use all the fabric pieces and parts so there is no waste. It is my part in going "Green".....that's my story. Ha!! Please ignore the purple

I am really bummed that I did not get my mystery completed in time for the Viewers Choice. Life just gets in the way at time.......what an understatement!! Anyway, I have the center completed, but am working on a different border treatment which is not complete yet. So, I will post when I finish, even if I can't be a part of all the "chatter"

I have completed all 6 of the steps but have not taken any pictures to post yet. I am using a jelly roll I have had around a long time called "Spice". I like the colors but it remains to be seen if my combination choices are going to begood ones or not.

I have decided to use blues and browns from my stash of strips already cut and probably a cream background. Now to search through my yardage stash to pick out sashing and border fabric! I love mysteries and can hardly wait for the first step.

Wow, my plate is very full right now, but I really enjoy these mystery quilts! I am going to do as much as I can....and thank you for planning an event using the feedback. I am looking forward to tomorrow. Fun, fun, fun....some of the chores will have to wait!! Ha!!
