  • Wanted: Quilter's Cay quilt pattern from August 2005 Quilting with Style

Can any one help me? I was gifted some Quilting with Style magazines which are no longer being produced. I found the perfect paper pieced quilt for a dear friend but I'm missing one issue that holds 1/3 of the quilt design. I need August, 2005 Quilting with Style magazine's section on Quilter's Cay, part 1 of 3. I would be so thrilled if

  • Can You Identify This Quilt?

I saw this quilt at a museum in Weathersfield, Vermont this summer. Since then I have blogged about it (www.quilterinmotion.wordpress.com) and had inquiries about it. Several of my readers believe it to be a unique pattern. Can you help? If you have seen this pattern before, please let me know. It was made in the 1860's and is an album quilt called

  • Re: How do you store your quilt magazines?

Kathy, I live in an RV so I HAVE to get rid of my quilt magazines. I still subscribe to two of them but when I've held on to them for a couple of months I, too, go through them and make realistic decisions about which things I am most likely to make. I keep them in binders like others who've replied here. I love the idea of keeping different

  • Re: Crock Pot Covers

Joy, thank you so much for this pattern. I don't have the embroidery machine but I can easily see it's not necessary. I will be making one up soon and will put a photo in my gallery. I appreciate your help finding this.

  • Crock Pot Covers

Has anyone seen a pattern, blog post or tutorial for a crock pot carrier for the oval, not round, crock pots? I can't seem to locate one and thought my fellow quilters might be able to help. Thanks in advance.

  • Autumn Leaves

I made this wall-hanging from a pattern I've had in my "to-do" pile for years. I just came across it this summer and decided it was time to make it. I gave it to my daughter for her birthday last week, September 29th, and she was very pleased to receive it. The pattern came from a 1993 Quiltmaker magazine and required the use of templates

  • Pete and Repeat

This quilt went together very quickly. It's made by cutting just two template pieces, exact opposites and two end pieces, exact opposites. I think it's the quickest I've ever put a quilt together. It was fun and looks striking. I used 7 fabrics, all in red, white and blue as requested by Citizen S.A.M, a quilt project for wounded soldiers

  • Patriotic Jumble

Made from three-piece "snowballs", this quilt went together fairly quickly. It's 48x78 and was given to the Citizen S.A.M project and now keeps a wounded soldier warm while he is in hospital in Germany. I'm proud of being part of this project.

  • Big-Little-Red-White-Blue

Done for the Citizen S.A.M "Wounded Soldiers" project, this quilt is 48x78. I've been makingt the Civil War Quilt Blocks Barbara Brackman puts out each week. I loved the block and decided to see what a whole quilt would look like with just this block. I think it's very dramatic. This week went to a wounded soldier in hospital in Germany

  • Re: 10 year old wants to learn to quilt.

My grandson, age 8.5 yrs, was interested in my quilting so this summer I decided I would teach him to sew. I have a new Janome that is perfect for a beginner so I set him up with that. He was interested in what all the stitches looked like that show up on the right side of the machine so i gave him a square of fabric large enough to become a pillow
