    I can relate to most of these, and it sure brought back some wonderful memories of way back when or as my children call them the olden days. I tried to let my children do some of these things( especially playing out side) and now my DD is trying to raise hers this way as they are fortunate to have a farm . Susan

    Rebecca, Joann,s has a universal singer walking foot that should fit your machine. Most new machines come with them . I bought my universal walking foot from Joann,s 5 years ago and it fits all my machines including Singers, Brother and Janome. I have also purchased 4 machines and all came with one.     Welcome, Rebecca ! No, when you are piecing you do not have to back stitch as this will happen when you sew the blocks together and then again into row. Most patterns will tell you when to back stitch. When watching a video or tutorial, they also will tell you when to do this. Susan

    As I was just starting to sew my quilt top together my DS asks me if I can make a flannel/ minky baby quilt for his new baby girl. Well of course I could not say no so put away my stuff once again.after finding the fabric, ironing, and cutting its on the design board so DS can tell me if he approves of the layout. Hopefully I can work on and finish
