    I finished my blocks on my bedroom quilt today. It was a time consuming process as it was mostly 5" quarter sq. triangles for an hourglass block with 4 different color fabrics .The other block was three 2" strips. It had to be laid out on the design board so you could keep track of block and color placement . I managed to not mix up the pieces

    I have been out of town camping all week so Im trying to catch up on the news. Sounds like some are having health issues and life issues, too. Ill be praying! Jen, the sewing room is coming right along, woohoo. I still had to come into town M/W/F for physical therapy, Im getting stronger every day . Im just glad its not summer as the back brace is so

    I can relate to most of these, and it sure brought back some wonderful memories of way back when or as my children call them the olden days. I tried to let my children do some of these things( especially playing out side) and now my DD is trying to raise hers this way as they are fortunate to have a farm . Susan

    Rebecca, Joann,s has a universal singer walking foot that should fit your machine. Most new machines come with them . I bought my universal walking foot from Joann,s 5 years ago and it fits all my machines including Singers, Brother and Janome. I have also purchased 4 machines and all came with one.     Welcome, Rebecca ! No, when you are piecing you do not have to back stitch as this will happen when you sew the blocks together and then again into row. Most patterns will tell you when to back stitch. When watching a video or tutorial, they also will tell you when to do this. Susan
