  • Re: Working with Chenille

Thanks to eveyrone for your help. I am working with chenille that came with the kit. Tried to attach a photo but have some trouble with that. I do have a pinking rotary blade that I will use to cut the material. Once I figure out how to post pictures I will. Thanks again, Pat

  • Working with Chenille

Recently purchased a kit which is a Chenille 4 patch. Is there a trick to working with chenille? The instructions say to cut each chenille block separately. Is it best to use a rotary cutter or scissors? A warning or piece of advise was to not handle to much as it ravels easily. Any advice before I tackle this project? Thanks, Pat

  • Re: Paducah here we come!

My husband and I went last year - just in time for the flood, but it didn't stop me from spending way to much. Eleanor Burns puts on a wonderful show and her tent sales are fabulous.. I would highly recommend having a car as everything is spread out throughtout the town. Even with the flood, I would like to give credit to the volunteers who put

  • Need help in deciding on a pattern

I recently purchased 2 fat quarter packs containing Moda’s Summertime floral designs. Each one is prettier than the next. Now I can’t decide on a pattern that would show off the beautiful fabric. I have 34 fat quarters. Any suggestions? Thanks Pat

  • Re: Dream Machine and Fabric

My dream machine is the Bernina 830. I bought one last year, figured I had bette buy my 'toys' while I was working. Still have not figured out all of the wonderful things that it can do. As far as fabric, that is really hard for me, so I guess I will go along with the majority, please give me a blank check or at least a spending allowance. Pat

  • Re: Aging? Be as young as you feel?

I am 68 and still working. Can't retire until my DH turns 65 in March. Enjoying pretty good health if you don't count being legally blind in my left eye and trying to put off knee replacement surgery for as long as I can. I feel as young as my 3 girls although i think they are aging faster than me - they are in their 40s. Four wonderful grandchildren

I agree about you all regarding Mark Harmon. What movie was he in, I must have missed it.

  • Re: FABRIC STORAGE

Great minds think alike. My problem was the shelfs that I wanted to use were to short. So my husband cut the cardboard in half. I folded my fabric to match the size and the problem was solved.
