Here is another shot of the Raspberry Dessert Runner I made in spring colors. It finished quite large, but looks really nice!

  • Dionne's Raspberry Dessert Runner

I also made a runner out of Jaybird Quilt's Raspberry Dessert pattern. I made this runner out of spring fabrics and it finished quite large. Large enough to have a place of honor on my mantle!

  • Dionne's Rainbow Raspberry Dessert

Here is my finished "flimsy" of Jaybird Quilt design's pattern Raspberry Dessert. I used bright scraps and a solid black to make this quilt. I made it exactly as the pattern instructed and it finished 76.5" x 76.5" This was such a fun pattern that I am now making a twin size in the rainbow colorway.

  • Re: How do you Organize your Scraps?

Maureen, It sounds like you have a wonderful plan. I love that you have it set up so that even if you only have a few minutes, you can do something to move your pieces along. And without hardly any additional effort, you're finishing up those log cabin blocks! I'll bet they are fabulous. I love log cabin blocks.

Hey Diane, SIGN ME UP! I want to take that class!! What fun that would be. Wouldn't it be fun to have a Scrap Squad Retreat! We could have workshops on organization, clutter control with scrappy patterns available and a big scrap swap-a-thon! And I love your Little Windmills ! That is a pattern I'll need to bookmark for sure!

Pat I'm so impressed that you do Spring Cleaning in your sewing room! I must say, my sewing room gets a quick tidy at the end of every project, but I've NEVER done a thorough "Spring Cleaning" to get everything organized all at once! I think I should put that into my schedule! It would actually be fun I think, once a year!

  • How do you Organize your Scraps?

There are so very many ways in which to organize, or not organize your scraps of fabric. There are many methods, containers, and philosophies. I’m curious, what method do you use? · Do you keep your scraps in a grocery bag or a plastic tub? · Do you consider only sizes smaller than fat quarter a scrap? · Do you only keep scraps

  • Re: Length of UFO 2011

Ok, call me daft and thick, but I just dont' get how this works. I list my ufo's and when I finish one, I can download the pattern? Is it every month? where is the pattern? I'm sure these are all really dumb questions, but sometimes I need a little extra help!

  • Scraptacular Quilt-a-long!

If you're looking for a way to use up some of those scraps, I'm hosting a Quilt-a-long on my blog. This is a great project that uses up 2 1/2" squares and 4 1/2" squares. It's a great Sew-Between if you follow Bonnie Hunters Leaders/Enders system. For more information on the actual pattern and about the Quilt-a-Long post here or
