The baby quilt was made to honor the mother's Hawaiin heritage. I found the patterns for the appliques online, sized, cut, and machine appliqued them on. Baby's name and date of birth were hand stitched on the heading of the quilt.

I seemed to have over purchased the cute butterfly material so I decided to make a quilt for each of my three granddaughters. This one needed to be more green (mother's favorite color) than pink (daddy doesn't like the pink stereotyping thing). One down ... two to go! Three more if you count the grandson who can't be left out!

This was for a second child, but a first girl baby ... it had to be pink! I fussy-cut the center butterflies ... the first time I had tried this.

My second attempt at piecing a quilt for a baby girl. Willow was the first child of my son-from-another-mother and the main fabric used just looked like "Willow" to me ... plus dad and mom had a thing for cats!
