Here was a fun quilt that I made this year with my Mom's help. It is a kit that we purchased from KQ. It is a panel in which you sandwich, quilt and then make holes (20 of them) an string little white LED lights from the back to the front. so pretty! We hung above our fireplace. There is a battery pack that lights the quilt. I attached a pocket

  • Quilted Christmas Ornaments

I know....these are not technically quilts - but they appear quilted and are SO easy to make. I am making a bunch and stacking in a big bowl for Christmas to add to the decor in our home. Also going to make a couple for Guild Christmas gifts and to hang on our tree. If you look up Quilted Christmas Ornament on YouTube you can find some EASY tutorials

  • Black and White Baby Quilt

Here is a baby quilt that we made for a friend's daughter who lives in New York City. She wanted to decorate her nursery with a black and white theme - EEKS. So we added bright green for a fun pop of color along with a flannel backing with cute little frogs. She LOVED it.

  • Christmas Quilt 2012

This quilt was a round robin project - we had to piece a 24" square center block and then hand off to different quilt guild members each month for 6 months. We had to add borders (triangles, curves, applique, etc.) until finished. The quilt was then given back to the creator at our Christmas party this month. The 4 squares were supposed to have

Leslie - I replied to the general post but I'm not sure if the email would get to you... I found a handkerchief pattern link - all butterflies on the quilt and I believe you fold/tack down and don't have to cut the handkerchiefs. Just thought I'd share - hope you're having a great day!

Hi all - thanks for the replies! I will definitely talk with her grand daughter to help her understand how important these handkerchiefs were to her grandmother. I will also suggest that she put this away in a "hope" chest until she is older. I found a link of a Mother's Handkerchief quilt - all butterfly designs. I've heard you fold

  • Handkerchief Quilt

Hi all, We just received a box of vintage handkerchiefs that a dear friend of our family collected for a long time. She was planning on making a quilt for her teenage grand-daughter and unfortunately she passed away before she could start. I need help finding a pattern or ideas on how to incorporate into a quilt. I have the Hanky-Panky Crazy Quilts
