  • Re: Time is of the essence

Phyllis I want to say you are a good person to be so caring to your dad. I took care of my mom in my home for 2 years after she broke her hip. She also had Alzheimer's and in the last few months it was very rough and I too had to put her in a nursing home. I felt terrible about doing that but had no choice as I could no longer take care of her at

Roxana I want to respond to your last post about being a hostess and also the swapers (not sure that is a word). I participated in the HST and was terrified that I would do a terrible job. But several regulars reached out and helped/walked me thru and I learned so much from it. YOu even sent me your phone # and chatted with me. Barbara sent me paper

Pat were any photos posted of the blocks received for Mary? Think it is too early but just didn't want to miss it. Also the quilt for Carol was a pic posted of her quilt when it was finished? Haven't been on site for a while. Looked thru but didn't find any pics. Thanks, Joyce from Maryland

Sheyenne & ladies, I too love the QCA site. So I keep trying to get on and when I can I read and chat. Waiting for things to improve and it does sound like the site is being worked on. I miss some of the quilters on here. Joyce

Mimi, Diana, I plan on going to Lancaster on Fri. and if I can get a hotel my DH and I will spend the night and leave on Sat. I am thinking we will attend the quilt convention on Fri. He doesn't like crowds so I know this won't be a happy event for him. :) That is what I'm thinking right now but I had a stress test on Fri. and I didn't

  • Re: Longarmers Share #2

Michelle & uaniquilt we have a new LQS I visited and they have 2 long arms you can rent. She charges $80 for lessons to use the machine & $60 for materials. You buy your own thread etc. Then it is $15 a hour to rent. The lessons are required and so is the $60. I wondered how long it takes to do a queen size quilt on a LA. Not sure if that would

Hi everyone, I went to the Balto. quilt expo today. It was held at Hunt Valley Inn. They had a lot of older quilts displayed from the 1900 to 30's and very pretty. I love looking at all the quilts. Lots of vendors there also with tons of machines & long arms. I only bought some Sponge Bob fabric from the cancer table to make pillow cases. Almost
