Yes, THANKS Agnes for keeping the gals up to date on us. As you know, Patti went home on Monday as we did also. She has more to deal with as they won't have water for awhile. We are very fortunate to have water from our well and of course thanks to the generator my DSIL brought up, we have power. We are running the generator for about 14 hours a

Thanks all for the great information. tnmtgal - I will check out the guterman thread - I do have some Thread Heaven............somewhere! Kris - what size "fine crochet thread" have you used? I had never thought of using it for hand quilting. weezww56 - the quilt is very heavy and that is the only reason I might consider a frame. Thanks for

  • Hand quilting questions?

I am thinking of hand quilting a queen size quilt that is already layered and machine BASTED by a longarmer. What type of thread should I use? I have always used the coated quilting thread many years ago and am wondering if King Tut, the long stapled Egyptian thread, would work just as well. Also being as the quilt is evenly basted, is it necessary

I am with you, Jacy and CC, I want to meet Marie and sure hope she can get it all arranged. Course I also want to meet CC! Hopefully Kris can be there as we need our star reporter! She does a great job of recording the antics and activities. The dates will work out good for us so like I said before, God willing and the creek don't rise, we aim to

Diane - oops! I fibbed! the block finally went in the mail today and USPS says it will be to you on the 31st. I have been doing online postage with USPS for at least 7-8 years and today was the first time I have not been able to print off a label from their site. Finally gave up after many attempts and sent DH to PO with cash. The Postmaster said the
