I was fed up with chasing my sewing machine foot pedal across the linoleum floor. The more I sewed, the further away it got. My leg just wasn't long enough. I've heard of using rubber drawer liner or that mesh you put under mats to keep them from sliding, but didn't have any of either on hand. So I took my computer mousepad and put it on

Hi, This is my flannel board. I wrapped an old flannel sheet around a 1 inch thick sheet of styrofoam insulation purchased from my local building supply store, fastened with pins stuck into the back.I had to cut a 2 foot section off the end to fit it into my car, so the board is 4 x 6, which is large enough for most of my projects.
