Darlene, are you out there?
I have had technical issues and was unable to get my e-mail on my phone for almost 2 weeks. I can't tell you the last time I opened the lap top before tonight. I broke down and got a new phone Saturday and am still trying to figure out how to use it. I am signed up to take a class
Are you going to try zipper flowers with some of those zippers
I was planning to do some trim with some of the odd length zippers and I have seen the zipper flowers. I think they would be fun. Also, some of the zippers are sport zippers for jackets, etc which pull apart at the bottom so they would be easy to switch

Robin, so glad you had success. What a productive day you had Our Monday morning is starting with a relative amount of calmness. We are preparing for some electronics recycling. Tim saw something on the news about this recently where they were collecting old TVs, printers, phones, answering machines, etc. to recycle for kids to go to camp. We have some
my youngest decided she would go to prom
Robin, what wonderful news that she has decided not to "skip" this once in a lifetime experience. I appreciate how happy this makes you because Kyle went thru the same debate about whether to go to his senior prom. He was not interested in going but was pushed by

Kim, love both color ways. You did a wonderful job piecing both. I am not an expert with quilting designs and can't make a suggestion. Good luck.

I have begun to search out the fabrics I will use and am pleased with the collection so far. I am excited to start this and hope that it doesn't end up in the UFO pile. By making it my favorite color and using a

Kim, I do a lot of quilting by commission and the following are the rules I use to determine my price: I figure yardage and multiple the cost of purchasing that yardage [including backing and batting] at regular retail {because you can't be sure that you will get it on sale} by 3. This gives me wiggle room to include my thread and any other expenses

Good morning to all my quilty friends who worry about me and miss me when I am not around. It is so kind of you to search me out when I sit and lurk from my phone. We have had a busy time here in WNY but so is everyone else. I can't believe how much I read you all are accomplishing lately. We are awaiting the dates for Tim's next phase in treatments

I prewash my flannel when I use it for batting. I also find that using a better quality flannel is important. I have found that stitch in the ditch is sufficient for holding the layers together. Depending on the backing, I have done an "X" pattern in each block rather than stitch in the ditch. I do this when the backing would not look as nice

Linny, I went to Fire Mountation's website and found the article about photographing. Very interesting and informative. I liked the idea of using photography students from a local college. It would be good practice for them, something different for their portfolio and a potential portfolio for the artist as well. Win, Win for all. It also made me
