A Block of the month from Bloom creek. 77 x 83 using some Applique' and english paper piecing. This was done mostly row by row. The finishing touch is the curved edge binding. All done in 30's reproduction fabrics.

This is my second colorway for this buck a block/block of the month. The setting stars and sashing and borders were all extra of course. The blocks and setting stars were made with Thangles papers.

This was a Thangles Buck a block/block of the month with an additional setting/sashing and border. This is my colorway # 1. The center blocks and the star settings were all done with thangles papers.

This quilt was made from a pattern which is called "French Roses". You make a template of the applique pieces and cut them out and raw edge applique them to the background piece leaving 1/4" or so free to ravel. If I was to do this again I would employ the quilt as you go or cotton theory methods as this pattern is perfect for these methods

I wanted a simple pattern using all one fabric pattern in different colors. I pieced this at a quilt retreat. It was quilted in an allover miander pattern by a long arm quilter(Cathy Hughes). I've since seen this pattern for sale under the name "Jelly Beans(?)".
