I'm already planning another quilt with this pattern only, like Marge P, I've enlarged the blocks.
Thanks to all of you and congratulations to all the winners, they were all beautiful. Sorry I only read this last evening, I've been trying to finish this quilt and another for grandkids'

Thank you all so much and a very big thank you to Nana for hosting this MQ, I really enjoyed it. I will confess, I've made a Missouri Puzzle miniature quilt, which is the basically the same block but without the sashing, so I did have some experience with this block. And to those who asked about the border design, it is a simple half square triangle

I really like the 9-patch on point for your borders Marge, your colors really pop together. I don't think the mottled tan looks blah at all.
Her cats will love it.
I'm sure she'll love it , too, Judy. What a wonderful gift, she sounds like she deserves a good friend like you.

Thanks Marge and Donna B and Kris. It's really fun how you can repeat one block in a border and, just with color and block placement, with corner blocks, have an intricate design that looks complicated. .

Very pretty Sheila. I like the reversed colors.
If you did piece it, would you be willing to share instructions on how to create a border like that? I'd love to be able and make a border like that for a future quilt, if you don't mind sharing!
Thanks Gina and all for your kind comments. The border is pieced, it's an adaptation of one from Bonnie K

Wow, I'm amazed at all the beautiful quilts, all the different colors are so fun to see. I finished mine, called it Bumblebee Squadron. I wanted to name it Pittsburgh Streets but my DH strongly objected. He hasn't gotten over the Seattle Seahawks loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Can you see it?
Well, yes, but one little hst turned sideways doesn't really show much. I'm assuming you chose to do your corner triangles to match the inner border to give the middle a more interesting shape, right? Colors look great Judy and your points are terrific. I'm still putting mine
