Here are a couple of handkerchief patterns. I took a class by the person that designed them. I did her pinwheel quilt and I love the end result. There were several ladies in my class that had made her handkerchief quilt. It's on my ''to do list" Shari http://www.pineapplepresspatterns.com/Patterns.html

Hello from another Michigander. I am in the Grand Rapids area. Quilting is much better than working - I just need to figure out how to quilt full time! Shari

You are ready to hit that pedal! Have fun!

I think they were mispriced too. I bought mine (don't know the brand, but not F & P) at a quilt show and paid 3-4 for them.

I am working on this one: http://fatcatpatterns.com/Fiesta.html She offers each monthly block free for that month. It's a lot of work but I am really enjoying it. Shari

I always wonder if I'm using the right thread when I am putting together a quilt. There are so many companies and so many opinions that I never know what is the best. Our guild had Suzanne Marshall as the guest speaker one month. I did not know who she was until I heard her spoke - never heard of her. I do applique but never really paid attention

I have to echo what others have said. Gloves are a GREAT help and I get out the big 8 foot conference table and put my machine on that. It makes a big difference. I will have to check out the video's suggested.

I signed up a few weeks ago - so excited! I've never been to the Quilt Festival but been to Shipshewana/Middlebury area many many times. It's one of my favorite places in the US, can't wait till June! http://www.shipshewanaquiltfest.com/index.html If you have attended previously, I wondered if it is worth the money for the Schoolhouse (

This may be a dumb question, but.... I don't have the software - I'm starting a quilt that was created in the software. The fabric requirements seem HUGE - does it take into account making the pieces fit close together when cutting them out of the fabric? Looking at the whole pattern, I just can't see needing that much fabric, one color
