  • Re: Welcome to the Quilts of Valor Group!

Elizabeth, I'm the Destination Coordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation and I do have one location that will take undersized quilts. We do not "advertise" this location because they don't meet our minimum size requirements and also this location doesn't need too many quilts at any one time. Please go to the QOVF website and

  • Re: 2 finished tops

Marie, Both tops will be finished by Quilts of Valor volunteer long-armers and then will be given to veteran's. The string (group) quilt is made according to the Heartstrings instructions which can be found here: http://heartstringsquiltproject.com/ cella

  • 2 finished tops

I just finished these tops. The string quilt was a group effort. I just assembled the blocks. The other one is Persimmon Quilt's Mystery #15. The sashing was supposed to be blue but I changed it to gold. It was a fun mystery. Right now I'm finishing up a star string quilt. I'm hoping to have it done by Saturday. cella

So here's what I've decided to do to try and work through my UFOs and also satisfy my craving to start on new quilt projects. In 2011, any time I "finish" 2 things from my UFO pile, I can start a new project. Whatever my new project is, I have to completely finish it (pieced and quilted) before moving on to something else so that I'm

Hello Everyone, I have taken stock of my UFOs and am starting this discussion so I can confess how out of control my UFOs have become and track my journey to complete as many of them as I can in 2011. I have an HQ16 so I can totally complete my own quilts. Here is my current tally: Personal UFOs 15 tops started 30 projects kitted (some with cutting

  • Re: Welcome to the Quilts of Valor Group!

Good Morning, I just found this group and had to join. In January of this year I started a Quilts of Valor group called Central MA QOV. We meet a couple of times a month to piece tops and meet a third time each month to cut and kit patterns for people to piece at home. We have given 7 quilts so far and are in the final stages of gathering 20 quilts
