Had to make 3 new stockings this year. Each are quilted onto W&N batting. The striped ones are taffeta and the beaded one is dupioni and velvet. So thrilled to have these done on time!

Finished my ornaments of my nieces for this year - used my mini Dresden template from Marti Michell.

Marie, I used 1 layer of Warm & Natural and a layer of Insul-bright, which was the layer closest to the grabbing surface for the potholder. I just used a double layer of W&N for the tops where the fingers go. Thanks everyone for all of the compliments on my potholders. I've made several of these in the past and they have been greatly appreciated

I made these pot holders as a Christmas gift for a MN Twins fan. This is my first binding project - I figure I need to learn at some point so may as well start on something small. Not great but for a first try I think I did ok. The pattern is "Handy Heart Potholders" by Classic Crafts.

Just wanted to check in and see what you've all been up to. I'm still here, and still planning on finishing my BOM quilt... but my gift sewing comes first. I had some problems with radiation burns at the end of my treatments and still didn't feel like sewing. But I am now done with both chemo and radiation! I still have to sit through an

I plan to use the techniques for quilt as you go blocks. Maybe I'll do it for my Craftsy BOM quilt.

BB - I have this book and am excited to try the techniques in it. http://www.amazon.com/Foolproof-Machine-Quilting-Paper-Cut-ebook/dp/B004GCK7G0 I like this book because it shows that you can really do a lot with a walking foot. I'm not limited to straight line quilting! However, I do have to get some blocks or quilt tops done first...
