  • Re: Newbie question

Love the quilt. We have 2 daughters who have bought a house together and one has 3 cats and the other has a dog. Then there is a chiwawa (spelling incorrect I know) that is both of theirs. I have been meaning a cat wall hanging for the one and something with dogs for the other.

JEANINE: I do not have a longarm but wish I did. I am a coward and even afraid to free motion on my Bernina. I do the straight lines well! I take my quilts to someone else who does have a longarm. If I lived in CB I would bring them to you!! Good luck with your business. Do you have outsiders who send you quilts for your church charity for kids? I am

  • Looking backwards

A week or so ago I noticed a message/blog from Jeanine, a quilter from a church on Kanseville Blvd. in Council Bluffs, IA. Since I was born and raised there and my husband still has family there whom we visit 2x a year I was very excited. Left a message and she sent me an email. Iwanted to reply to it, but instead clicked on delete. Couldn't get

  • Re: Quilt of Valor - Easy Charity Quilt

Want to reply to JEANNE who wrote from Council Bluffs about moving there and beginning a new quilt organization that contributes to Linus'Projects and other groups nearby. I have several grandchildren (youngest 12) who I want to get quilts made for and made a resolution to get several done this year. To do that and

I am thinking about buying a new sewing machine (mine is a 1976 version of Bernina). Our nearest dealer no longer does trade ins. What can one do with an older machine? IF I get a new one. Sure a difference in price!!! I am 78 yrs. old--maybe too old for a new one!!!
