    Hope someone can help me., I am working on a new quilt I designed and for some reason, Maybe I'm just losing my mind, but I can not get the long grass pieces I am appliqueing into my water to lay flat they kind of wrinkle on top. I've never had this problem before. It is so frustrating. I must be forgetting something. I've tried ironing

  • Machine quilting

    I have never machine quilted before and I have a old machine a memory craft 8000, will it be hard to learn on that machine please realize though I'm a perfectioness when it comes to my quilts. Also I needle turn applique and do you know if you can still machine quilt one of that type and still do welll in a show if one was to enter, Thank you to

    Patti, Thank you, I have never taught classes or entered a quilt show , Honestly I didn't know I could submit anything to magazines. I am however working on a piece right now to hopefully enter into the road to california quilt show. The thing is I just started it and the pictures have to be in by Oct. Do you know if I applique a wall hanging could

    Libby, thank you, I bet you could do it, if you'd try. I just decided one day that I would try appliqueing something I had drawn and loved it. No one can tell you it's not right because it"s your own so there's no limitaions on what you do, no right or wrong because it's yours. Try it you'll love it. Cathy m

    Gini, thank you, well I draw out everything and then find fabrics that will work with what I want. in this one though, I did work on drawing my leaves at the bottom to fit the fabric. Because I liked the look of it so much, all the other parts are cut from much larger pieces to get the affect I want. The owl is make from acorn leaf fabric and other

    Hi Judy, sorry I've been real busy, I don't know if anyone will find my picture because my daughter posted it in new to site from nevada, the one in which you wrote me, we've all been busy helping with my grandmother so she didn't want to put alot of time in helping me and I don't blame her.
