To save money I've been using dull rotary cutting blades which is causing bursitis in my neck and shoulders (too much pressure needed to cut through even two layers. I just bought an Olfa rotary cutter. I noticed it says I should only use an Olfa cutting mat. I already have two fiskars mat and an X-acto cutting mat. Have any of you had experience with this? What do you think?

I made a smaller quilt. It measure 44 X 56. I used Ann Petersen's method for machine quilting each block before joining them. It worked great. I am making placemats from the remaining 8 blocks. Thanks everyone for your encouragement and kind words. I'm plugging along. Just finished the Friendship Circle Block for October. Although I'm prone to mistakes, I enjoy paper piecing.
