I made this for my husband. It turned out much larger than I anticipated, because I just couldn't resist all the great fabric patterns. I realized I couldn't quilt it on my home machine, so I sent it out to Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Co. She did a great job!

Each of my service dog gets their own blanket. My new trainee, Charlie, is a black Mini Schnauzer mix with a red collar, so I thought these colors were perfect for him. He loves his new quilt.

So is this a one-time Spring/Summer swap, or an ongoing swap with a different fabric each time? And what's considered a Spring/Summer fabric? It sounds interesting but I'm new to fabric swapping and want to make sure I understand everything before I make a commitment. Thanks! Diane

I've been using QuiltHelper, and it is indeed a great helper. It's great to have a bias calculator, backing calculator, squares & triangles calculator fractions to decimals calculator, and bed frame reference all together on my iPhone. Thanks for a great tool! Pastor Diane

This quilt was raffled off to raise funds for ShelterBox, an international disaster relief agency. The quilt featured photos of children and adults from our 2010 Vacation Bible School; ShelterBox was their mission project. I wasn't sure what this quilt would look like when I made it.
