When we were out in S. Dakota for my son's wedding we went to a reservation for animals.
Thea, we don't have to go to a reservation to see bears!!! They are becoming more and more visible around here. Quite a few years ago we saw a large black bear on one of our hay fields - I think "she" had
Could your backing not be cut square? That would throw things off. Agnes, I love your hat. You have two very different hats in one! I like the multi-color brim - the fun side - but like the darker one the best also.
My machine was just frustating me to no end though... and have no idea why just changing the needle one last time made it work correctly...
Hey anybody notice the leaves have already started to change colours where they live? Ours think it's fall already...very depressing.
Just noticed today that one maple tree near us has completely turned and spots are showing up on others. They seem to be changing fast. I have heard it is going to be an early
Ladies and Gents this is my final block for this quilt top. The centre is from a FQ that I just couldn't find a place for. This little guy really wanted to be here so I fussy cut him. I'm not crazy about the block though.
CONGRATULATIONS!! I love your block. He sure did want to be in the quilt - look at that
I am out of town for the weekend so no sewing today, however I did finish the Labyrinth Path quilt top before I left yesterday. Here is a pic.
Donna, I have looked at this quilt and another similar one many times and have been tempted by both, but I think this foggy mind would really get scrambled if I attempted

Thea, like Judy I am anxious to see this quilted. It is so colorful. As you have probably guessed from some of my quilts lately, I like using black for sashing and borders. I have also dreamed of making a sampler with black background and bright colors. I have made many afghans with leftover bright colors with black. I like your idea of black for the
Your flood pictures were an eye opener. I can't imagine that much rain. Glad everyone was ok.
The good fortune (for the people, not the roads) was everywhere.
