Rachel, I just voted on the MQ and very glad I didn't see the small pictures. They would have been very hard to see on my 11 inch wide screen! I finally have graduation quilts finished enough that I just picked my fabrics from stash this weekend. I will soon get to working on step ONE! I will still do it - several of the graduation quilts for this
I finished my Vintage Tin. ................ My label has photos of my two sets of grandparents not long after they left Norway and settled here.
Judy, you realty made your quilt an original. I really like the idea of your label. You are so fortunate to have pictures of both sets of grandparents. My

Is, my first thought when looking at your block was lantern, but I can also see ghost, now that you mention it. I like it.

Just got caught up on reading over 200 posts here. Have been so busy with trucking that I haven't even had time to read about everyone's accomplishments. Love all the quilts I have seen here, especially Debbie-do and your ambitious quilt. I have seen this quilt before and thought it would be a good project for all my small scraps. I may attempt
Great blocks, everyone! I'm playing around with different layouts. This one is my favourite, but wonder if there will be too much tan once I put in the setting triangles? I've never done an on-point with 12" blocks before. Any comments?
Brigit-Carol, I love it! I think you would like it with
my new MQ
That should be MQ 8. Either my mind, my fingers, or the computer goofed on this one. Tried to edit this post, but seems that that option is no longer available under the menu "More". I have used that option a lot. Now my goofs have to be out there for everyone to see!!
As I said before, this is my first time with the mystery quilt and we are trying out different formats.
We all need to get out of our old ruts and try different ways of doing things. I also had problems at first as I had been comfortable with the old format, but am getting used to this form. The only problem

Everyone's blocks are beautiful. Wish I could have been working along with you, but riding the roads all day I am too tired at night to even get online. Just enough energy left to do computer jigsaw puzzles - only have to move one finger!! Just downloaded Monday's (Sunday's) clue this morning. I hope to finish quilting MQ 8 today or tomorrow
I also have a cat who likes to help out. Only mine likes to steel my empty bobbins!
Kwag, It is good your cat likes empty bobbins. We had one once who liked full ones - when she was done it was empty and the house was strung from end to end with thread. Haven't had a cat since a pair of half-grown kittens swept
Are the trees changing and leaves falling - I used to love the southertier in fall - so pretty with the different colors. I do miss NY at this time of year.
Last week the trees on the hills just looked dull and slightly rusty. This week there is more color, especially blotches of yellow. Most maples have some red
