• Re: Did you work on a quilt today #10

Finally got back on here tonight and discovered my blocks for MQ10 failed to show up. Guess Rich hurried me too much Tuesday so I didn't wait long enough for the pictures to show up before posting. Happens all the time when he rushes me to get in the"torture machine" (the truck and trailer). Here they are - I hope. First is from stash
#2 son, aka the boomerang kid (even though he is shortly turning 33) has been a financial and emotional drain on us. If we sell this home, I am almost tempted to make it so he will have my phone number, but not address.
You have the right idea here. You need to cut the apron strings here. Your son at his
I feel the same way, Carol but I sure do miss some of the originals! I also joined QATW for a short time and found I couldn't navigate it as well as here. When I go there occasionally, I have to join again which basically keeps me from going there at all. QCA is my first love and I'm a stick to it gal.
I
I finally finished MQ6 and as promised, here is a picture if I can get this right.
I really love the colors of your MQ 6. I need to dig out mine and see what I need to finish on it. I think only binding. FINALLY - - my MQ 10 blocks. First is from stash - light blue is really fine grey and white zigzags. Second
... My ideas for 2015 are to start using up my scraps and my stash - I am going to try real hard not to find any new quilts to make - LOL - I have so many that I still want to make...
Thea, knowing you, it will be very hard for you to stick to this - - - GOOD LUCK! I have been making a fair-sized dent in my stash
Thea, I'm glad to see you are feeling better. Don't overdue. I am prone to overdue when I am feeling good and I usually pay for it. This is a bad time of the year for me. My fibromyalgia rears its ugly head when the seasons change and I have a really bad flare-up.
Thea, I also am glad you are feeling better

  • Re: Quilt Out Of Old Sheets?
IMHO you can use old sheets if you want. Many antique quilts are made from old clothes and they held up for many years. This quilt is for a good friend and I would assume she has a reason for wanting a quilt made from these sheets. I think I would prefer sewing old sheets over t-shirts and many have made quilts
I glimpsed the sun but also some awfully ominous looking clouds which have taken over the skies. On my walk this morning I came very aware that winter is nipping at the heels. Angelle-Hope the sun is still shining for you.
Agnes and Angele, we also got a very small glimpse of the sun today. Soon after I flipped
