Thanks, Sheila. This was more of a challenge to quilt - mostly stitch in the ditch and some cathedral windows-type quilting in some blocks. Did fancier work in larger pieces of medallians. The mystery that spawned this quilt was one medallian, black border, 9-patch border and goose border. I needed it larger so made 2 big blocks and added a border between

I love it, Sheila. Your posies in the centers are just perfect. Mine just sits in a plastic shoe box at the clue 1 stage. I do have something finished, though. Here is a picture of graduation quilt #1 which I gave to grand-nephew last Saturday. I finished quilting #2 yesterday and just need to trim and bind and take a picture. Life has sure taken a

I love the promise in everyone's quilt parts so far. Judy, I won't disturb your colorful cuties. What Fun! I am nearly halfway finished quilting quilt #1 for graduation party #1 on the 15th. The 2nd one might not be done, but will be started by then. We hope to get to party #2 - 80 miles from #1 on the 15th but she probably won;t get her rainbow

Debi, you are pushing me to finish these 2 graduation quilts. With Rich's unplanned livestock trips when he needs me for company, I am running out of time. July 15 is racing it's way to me way too fast!!! One quilt will be pinned ready for machine today and other one HAS TO be sandwiched and pinned as soon as I have enough pins released from
Marsha, I also have the same hand sharpener, and it seemed to work fairly well, but I have misplaced it in my jungle,
I found out today that I could buy just the ring for this sharpener. I think I can get up to 20 sharpenings to a blade by hand. As for the Jungle! mine is more like a rain forest - when you dive
Seems I buy blades in bulk! I love the name brand blades, never used an off brand. I wasn't aware you could sharpen them, I just throw them away.....
I have used a blue hand sharpener - Tri-Sharp - and have had very good luck with it. I should have bought more because the one I have has been used too long.
It's my own fault because I was using a very dull rotary cutter blade and it would take me a long time to hack through each cut.
I was in the same boat last Friday. I forgot I had bought a new REAL blade a few months ago. When I put that in I was able to finish cutting borders for 2nd graduation quilt without
