Are the trees changing and leaves falling - I used to love the southertier in fall - so pretty with the different colors. I do miss NY at this time of year.
Last week the trees on the hills just looked dull and slightly rusty. This week there is more color, especially blotches of yellow. Most maples have some red

Marie, your floral quilt turned out so bright and sunny with the yellow cornerstones and white sashing. I think I would go with a narrow (sashing width or narrower) inner border of something darker - maybe blue - that goes with the florals and then a lighter border. Of course, bind with the yellow from the cornerstones or something that color. I am

Candis, we all miss you. Take care of yourself and just handle which-ever sites that do not stress you. I have stayed on here but haven't participated much. The loyal ones are still here and those that tended to "stir the pot" - - - ? I do miss some who have left and blame no-one. Problems seemed to come from many directions. Thank you
Since I need to make a QOV for my son-in-law, I've chosen these fabrics and plan on doing the MQ as a QOV. I hope they will work.
Karla, I love the contrast of your fabrics and will be a beautiful QOV no matter what the pattern turns out to be. For those wondering about fabrics, be sure you have good contrast
When we were out in S. Dakota for my son's wedding we went to a reservation for animals.
Thea, we don't have to go to a reservation to see bears!!! They are becoming more and more visible around here. Quite a few years ago we saw a large black bear on one of our hay fields - I think "she" had
Could your backing not be cut square? That would throw things off. And, if you stretch that backing too much, ask me how I know this, your quilt will spring when it's finished quilting. :-) So be careful trying to get those few inches out of it. Good luck!!
My biggest problem is the fabric - not the best quality

Agnes, I love your hat. You have two very different hats in one! I like the multi-color brim - the fun side - but like the darker one the best also.
Hey anybody notice the leaves have already started to change colours where they live? Ours think it's fall already...very depressing.
