QAYG is the same process for quilting as when you quilt a larger quilt, its just much smaller. You can still press the polyester batting on a lower setting, it doesn't melt. QAYG is very easy and fast. You just sew the quilted pieces together as you do them. The batting is covered by the backing fabric so it does not bunch up. One of my favorite

Here is a link to the free ereader pattern. You may need to register to get the pattern. They have a list of readers and their sizes. They have some beautifull free embroideries. Yum! http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/ELProjects/Projects.aspx?productid=PR1665

I've been looking for a free pattern to make a carrying case for my Nook. The only patterns I have found are like a bag. Looking for something more book like that has a stiff front cover that opens opens then on the other side is a holder for the Nook.

Scan the design into your computer, many new printers have print "poster" option, that is it will enlarge your design and spread it over 2, 4, 6 or more pages. Align the pages with the alignment marks. Print on tissue paper or water soluable paper.

Use batting scraps to make tote bags, checkbook wallets, credit card wallets, pot holders, place mats, table runners, etc. Use for stuffing in dog toys or cushions. Join bigger pieces to use in quilts. Potholders and table runners are good too.

Renee you should square your blocks before sewing them together. Also check your rows before sewing them together. You can line them up on your cutting mat and trim off small bits. This will make the rows easier to sew and your quilt should end up square.
