• Unfinished Spring Wall Hanging

I was so glad to see that others were not finished yet either. Dragonflies mean spring to me and lots of flowers. I designed the quilt around this machine embroidery of dragonflies. I was going to combine machine embroidery and machine designs from my sewing machine. (with all of the things my machine does I thought I should put it to use). I was disappointed

  • Re: Bead embroidery

A really beautiful feather!!! I have been into jewelry beading and now I have found an outlet for all of those beads I have accumulated from that. isn't it funny how our crafts can travel between different techniques. I get bored doing something over again and hate to waste supplies. Will be doing beadwork on my CQ. Thanks for your examples for

  • Re: Art Quilt group?

I have done a couple of art quilts and watch Pokey all the time. I also subscribe to Quilting Arts magazine and Quilting Daily. I love all of the creative people that are featured They have fun challenges and lots of ideas. Being an artist this is just my thing. As Gini said, it just is too much fun. I belong to the crazy quilt group and am working

  • More Ideas for stitching CQ seams I found this site some time ago while researching quilting and thought I would pass it on. The blogger is Susan B. She is a textile artist. It is a great site for stitch combinations and examples that have been stitched. She has printable suggestions for how to combine stitches. Just go to the

  • Re: embroidery on eggshea

I looked at the site. Awesome eggs. I'm afraid I wouldn't have the patience and like others would probably have crushed the thing before I was through. That was an awesome site. I have booked it and am checking out the videos. Some of the stitches I have in a book but it was not clear how to actually stitch them. These videos clear that up.

  • Re: Poll: What do you want to see more of in the CQ Group?

I am fairly new to CQ but not to embellishing my quilts. I do it by hand and machine. CQ looks like it will be much more fun to do. As some of you said there is no limit to what you can do. Right now I would vote for all of the above . My brain is open to all processes. I watched the video that someone posted with Betty Pillsbury. It was exciting what

  • Re: Anyone interested in following me with an EQ Bassinet quilt

I have EQ6 and just bought the upgrade to EQ7. I have fallen in love with the program and am hoping the upgrade is more user friendly. I have been able to scan fabric, design blocks and quilts but it was not easy understanding how to get to the final result. Like anything, I have realized that it just takes practice. I would enjoy following along with

My first mystery quilt and first large? size quilt. Hope I can keep up. Am new to this but it sounds exciting. Love mysteries. Betty

  • Re: Anyone want to do a fabric swap?

Sounds great to me too. I would be interested in doing something like this. I am new to quilting but have acquired a lot of fabric, some vintage, some my own purchases(because I liked it), some from estate sales. I heard that there may be a Halloween one? Anything on that? Have lots to swap. Betty
