SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?" DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?" DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" ... DAD: "If you must know, I make $100

Thanks again to Kris for helping me enlarge the Mariner's Compass block to fit my quilt. This a block of the month quilt I did thru my local quilt shop which ended April of 2012 ( I am a little slow posting pictures.) I has 12 different 12" pieced blocks, a 24" paper pieced compass in the center and the flying geese are all made form left

I would love to join in. I lost 45 lbs last year with diet and I started running then I took a break around October. I have been able to keep it off which was a worry to me and part of the reason I took a break. I am ready to get back to it and lose my last 35 lbs. PS Debbie - I love the Librarian movies!

Thea, Debbie and Spud - Thanks for the great responces to my questions. I will make a test block and try it with a small satin stitch. I didn't think the zig-zag would hold I didn't want a look of alot of stitching so this might be perfect. I will try to post a picture when I am done with it. My goal is to finish at least the top by Christmas

I did a Block of the month program at my local quilt shop and ended up with a bunch of half square triangles from the flying geese we used. After completeing the queen sized quilt top I also had other leftover fabric so I decided to sew the triangles into squares and see what I could come up with. This is the result, I think it came out good for leftovers

This is the fish quilt I was working on during our last online sew in, now completed and given away as a gift.
