Waving at you from Renton, Washington! Things are busy here with getting the garden ready to plant, baby quilts to make for friends expecting in July and August (so far, one boy quilt completely done....one girl quilt just the top finished....two more girl quilts and one boy quilt--fabric and pattern picked out...phew!) The next birthday in my group

my 2 yr old granddaughter is a big fan of Curious George, so of course I had to make her a George quilt for Christmas.

It started out innocently enough with the purchase of an Accuquilt Go cutting system and the hexagon die set. Scraps flew as they were sliced and diced into a pile of hexies. Hand stitched, the beast grew...and grew...until finally I had to contain it with borders! TAH DAH! Finished! 1,560 of them (not counting the half hexies around the edges

Sounds like you're having a wonderful birthday, Candace! Glad I could help make it a wee bit more special. Love the photo of all your birthday goodies...although..hmm! Didn't spot the Seattle Chocolate bar (it could be in there somewhere.. OR it could have been devoured! lol Hope so!) hugs!

WhOOoOoOHoOooOooo, Candace! Sounds like Thursday is going to be a fun day too!!!! Glad everything arrived in time--let the celebration begin!!!

HA and AHA! I just happened to look at the receipt from my post office run and since the nice man behind the counter talked me into priority mail for your package, Candace (it wasn't that much more....), it will reach you on MONDAY! Tomorrow! Wow, that's fast. It got double wrapped--had to put it in one of the correct mailing envelopes. ;-)

Package on it's way to you, Candace! Have a wonderful birthday on Thursday. :-)

Why, yes, Candace....I am still here and still participating. I posted after sending Mimi her surprise and, as it happens, I have YOURS all ready to go to the post office tomorrow! My four year old granddaughter spent a week with us recently....I think I've just about recovered... ;-) That did slow me down a bit, well, at least in the quilting department

Ditto on all this. After all, it is only common courtesy to acknowledge and express gratitude for goodies received! I also like it that people post when they send a squishy off to someone. :-) I might have not posted often of late, but I do try to keep up on all the messages. Life is getting back to normal now--well, a new normal--after a long battle

The mail was certainly quick! I'm glad you like all the goodies. It is such fun to stuff an envelope full of treats for a quilty friend. :-) Yes, I made the thread catcher and the hedgehog. Hope your birthday is a wonderful one!!!!
