  • Re: Question re: Quilting on Memory Quilt Photo's

I, like Jeanine have made a few Memory Quilts, and I have also quilted through the pictures, and it worked fine. I worried that if I didn't quilt through them that if they started washing it, I was afraid the batting might start to bunch up under the pictures. Hope all the tips the ladies have given are some help to you.

  • Queen, Rotary cut, machine quilt, machine pieced.

I am also sure I found this pattern in Easy Quilts, and had wanted to make a quilt with wolfs in it. I had bought some material a couple of yrs ago, and had never found the right pattern I wanted to make, I love my quilt. It took quite a while to finish, as I had so many projects to do for other people. Hope everyone that likes animals, like this.

  • Re: Does anyone use a Quilt Back with Muslin?

Hi silver lining, Welcome. I also use unbleached, and bleached muslin, with good results. I buy the wide backing to save money. I have used muslin for a lot of years, and I usually buy it from my local quilt shop.

  • Re: Portable Ironing Board for Quilting Class

I also have a Board that you can cut on one side, and iron on the other. I have also found that if you have a small travel iron that you can keep close at hand, its great. It's lightweight, and handy, I can put both close to my machine, and it' keeps me from getting up going to my large ironing board, so it saves time too. Pat from Missouri

  • Twin size Mario quilt

This was a twin size quilt that my grandson wanted. It was put together with 2 1/2 inch squares from a grid, made with 100% cotton and stripped. He wanted a Mario quilt to put in his game room. It was machine quilted with a meandering pattern and backed with 100% cotton. It was approximately 64" X 64". He really liked it when I finished it

  • Help with T shirt quilt!!!!!

I am getting ready to try and make a t-shirt quilt for a gentleman for their 20th anniversary in June. I think he has only around 26 shirts. I'm thinking of incorporating pictures of his wedding then and now, and possibly pictures of his 2 girls, then and now. He wants a king size, and also brought hats, that he thinks I can put in the borders.

Welcome Claire, I'm sure you will enjoy this site, and all the fun these ladies have. When we're hooked on quilts, that's about all we think about, making them, and wandering when we can go to the LQS and find that awesome material we've been looking for, (and maybe not need) LOL
