  • Re: Using Sheets for Backing

I have used two sheets for backing cause they were just the right color and did not have any issues at all. Actually thought the machine sewed beautifully through the thickness of them. They don't ravel and have body to them. I change my needle after each project so the needle was a good one and worked just fine. No bobbin issues either.

Hey there, This was a fabulous idea and I have so enjoyed working on my version of this block - I actually wanted the rectangles "framed" so I chose a wonderful fabric and did so but I would not have ever known such a lovely block if I had not seen yours. I am ready to sandwich and quilt this one and am already thinking about my next machine

Good Luck and welcome to this site. I am not on here much but I just love seeing the quilts the folks have made when I do get to stop by. I think many of them know one another and collaborate often on their projects and I like to "eavesdrop" and "hear" their topics of quilt stories. Have fun.

  • Re: What are you up to today #10

Not exactly sure what that means by starting a new thread so I posted just to say hello to all and tell you I hope your quilting is fun these last few days of 2015. Today I am up to trying to figure out a rectangular block I saw months and months ago on here...I wish I had written down more of the specifics because I would like to do a version of that

Appreciate your work and display of this and I really like this one in the alternating prints and have a similar idea in line to do after I finish a couple more Christmas projects. Was so happy this weekend I finished a fun snowman and mitten wall hanging and last night on Pearl Harbor Day I finished a red, white and blue candle mat/centerpiece project

I like this very much and would love to make my own version - thank you thank you for the inspiration! I have plenty of fabric stash that will let me start cutting tonight. Bless ya since I felt oh so stagnate and bored.
