  • Re: What are you up to today!

Hi Ladies, I'm up to paying bills and balancing personal and business checkbooks before the MN Twins take the field at 7pm. I'm sitting in my 2nd floor sun porch and see 3 rabbits eating on my newly risen plants! UUGGHHH! Anyone have ideas on how to keep them out of my gardens? I am unable to fence stuff in, and we have lots of kids in the neighborhood

  • Re: Quilt Retreat--must have items....

Hi all, I just got back from a 3 day retreat (what a wonderful way to use a vacation day!). It was in Granada MN and the retreat center concentrates on scrapbooking and quilting. The owners of the retreat converted an old church into a retreat center and they also own a scrapbook store in nearby Fairmont MN. There is a quilt shop about 15 min down the

Hi Ladies, Sorry I missed the first Quiltaholics meeting of the year. My husband had knee replacement surgery on Dec. 18. V. Successful surgery, and he's doing amazing recovery - doing all the exercises at home between physical therapy at the local fitness center connected to local hospital. Even progressed from walker to crutches to cane faster

Hi ladies, My husband is having knee replacement this Friday. I'm taking my daytimer for doctor notes and my handquilting to pass the time. Hate to say it, but it will be some quality quilting time during the surgery and while he's in post op....and the rest oft the day while he is coming back to the real world. I usually don't get this

Hi all, Went on vacation early Sept...American Legion Auxiliary meetings started in Sept...chairing the veterans rehab committee - local girl scouts and auxiliarians sewed and stuffed 96 heart pillows for Fr. I really like the Chocoquiltoholic idea. However, I'm more of a salt person. Can we add some on-the-stove-popped popcorn to the meeting?

Either people have been smoking too much or have nothing on their minds to come up with those prom dresses. What a hoot! All that duct tape and the structure underneath probably cost as much as a normal prom dress.

  • Re: Quiltoholics

Hi All, I recently joined and am a closet Quiltoholic. I am now willing to come out of the closet and announce it to the world. However, I don't have claim to being a chocoholic...that title is reserved for my husband. He literally cannot go a day without chocolate...even sent me to the store at 9 pm one night for his "fix." I'm really

Hi Gini, I agree - duct tape is not just for guys. However, after 9-11, my son was deployed to Afghanistan. Military personnel can mail letters and other stuff home for free if their package or envelope is under a certain weight. I sent Nick a bunch of those disposable cameras and envelopes to send them back to me. He weighed the envelope....it was
