Welcome Kim. I live near Boston. Hope today is a good day for quilting!

Barbara, I think the Lord answered those prayers because we did not lose power in our shelter! These days in Massachusetts we have about 2000 spaces in motels that are designated available for the homeless families. Yesterday there were over 1900 of those filled. Guess I'm saying: we still need prayer. With the frosty weather closing in those quilts

Hi Barbara, I know you have had numerous responses by the number of pages in this post but wanted to thank you for your prayers too. I'm "way up' near Boston so we may not be as hard hit as many but I do work with the homeless so would ask that you include these folks as well as all working with them. Thanks.

Great idea! This might be a neat one for the monthly raffle our quilt guild does. Different than the basket or plastic container they often come in.

Yes, I agree with Jeanine, the black could be very narrow, almost a flange size, like 1/2 inch so it doesn't overwhelm the border lines. Neat quilt!
Hi Charlie, welcome. Where in Mass do you live? I live just outside of Worcester.
I live in Norwell, very near the Hanover Mall.

Welcome, from Mass. This is a great place to learn.

Thanks Judylee, it sounds like one I'd like to try.

Love it! even the experts disagree. Is it time for a quilt sit in, an occupy the quilt shop uprising? At least we'd be warm and could keep busy and not have any violence. :)

I haven't used Quilter's Dream yet. What are the qualities of it that makes you choose it even if it's more expensive?
