  • Re: row by row

I have my patterns from 8 shops. Ready to start sewing. These things are not easy. The instructions are minimal, most don't even give sizes. Some don't have photos of their finished row so I'm glad I took pictures in the shops. This will definitely stretch my skills. Now to just figure out the pattern.

  • Re: What are you up to today #10

Sue, sorry to hear of your health problems. Not fun. Your uncle was a good looking man! Thanks for sharing with us. Take care of yourself, you definitely don't want to end up back in the hospital, especially far from home. Been there, done that, hope to never do it again.

Cate, thanks for responding so promptly. I'm not sure what can help but some thoughts: Monthly fun or silly contests? With fun little prizes? Some kind of online scavenger hunt? Kris is trying to keep things alive in the Dear Jane group and the Paper Piecing group and actually gives out monthly prizes from her own stash. But group postings aren't

Dawn, I found some Grip Strips by Guidelines4Quilting on Amazon. The reviews are mixed but seem to be mostly positive. I didn't see any by Fons and Porter.

I picked up two patterns today and one license plate. Hopefully Monday I'll hit the other 6 stores. I probably won't get license plates at all the stores.

Roxana. So very well said. Lack of honest communication was a big part of the reason many of the active members left.....and never came back. the first several years I was a member, QCA admin was really hands on.,sponsored twice yearly mystery quilts and was right there to solve problems and answer questions. Once even stopped by one of the retreats

[quote user="Patricia Faye"]Thanks to everyone for the compliments. So now I'm doing the HAPPY DANCE because I finished the last row (Left Side) today. I looked back at my notes & found I started this journey on 12/5/2013. Next I'll begin putting everything together so I can quilt it! I'll keep you posted on my progress. [/quote

Cate, thank you for posting! QCA used to be such a vibrant place but we've all felt a bit like we were in a boat with no rudder. I do hope the response from Admin will improve as well as some of the issues fixed....like not being able to change our profile photo. Or someone actually returning phone calls. Myself, I decided I'd give it through
