  • Re: Quilt for Mary

Message from Mary. She says she uses the quilt day and night. She said she is humbled and appreciates all the work. Mary Hayden Please let them know how much I love and appreciate the quilt. It is just that, try as I might, I can't seem to stay out of the hospital and am not doing well emotionally because of the limitations of my body. I feel completely

The hand stitching of the binding is my favorite part. When that's done, the quilt is done. I'm always trying to get projects to that point so that when I'm feeling lazy, I sit and hand stitch. Takes awhile because of arthritis, but it helps keep the fingers limber. Diana in East Tn.

I just got back from Nana's last week. May need another one soon.....hehe With hubby's strange sleep pattern, he does his best work at 2 a.m. He can't hammer and such in the middle of the night so I guess I'll have to leave. Get the heck out of his way so he can curse in peace when something won't go together just right. LOL Now

I've been busy online. Ordered New furniture for my sewing room. It's from Connecting Threads. Sewing cabinet, cutting cabinet, file type cabinet, and chair. It's my Christmas and birthday presents from hubby. Should be delivered tomorrow and then he gets to put ten boxes of parts together. He is wondering if there is somewhere I can go

I used to look for the bunnies. I actually won the grand prize a couple years ago. Got 50 yards of fabric that was beautiful. See, real people really do win those big prizes. Diana in East Tn.

Hello and Welcome. Our local library has the big tables and some of our guild members are allowed to use them to sandwich their quilts. They can put a couple of the tables together and baste a queen or even king size quilts. Good Luck. Diana in East Tn.

Hey, Nana, Just a reminder for you...Please don't make me walk all the way to the other end of the hallway to my room. My knees and ankles just aren't happy about the hike. Thanks Diana in East Tn.

I've always done the zig-zag to put the pieces together. I've never had trouble with it done that way. Diana in East Tn.

Yes, Ginny, I agree with you. I never do anything for the praise or thanks. I do it because I want to and hope it helps someone else in someway. Either with warmth, feeling of comfort, etc. I certainly hope she knows it was sent with love and caring. Diana in East Tn.
