• Re: Micron pigma pens

Hi Helen I have used the pens before without heat setting and haven't had a problem. I have also found pens at a local scrapbooking store that work as well. I always try to test wash first to see if there will be any issue with new pens because sometimes that bad apple makes it way in. I hope all goes well with your SIL.

  • Re: Favorite Thimble(s)

Thanks for all the help. I found a metal Bohn thimble at one of my LQS's, they had a small selection. Road 2 CA is coming up in January, I'll try to find some there too.

  • Favorite Thimble(s)

Hello Everyone I have been looking into getting a new thimble for hand quilting. I currently have one of those plastic open nail ones. What kind of thimble do you like and why? Are there any that you have tried and just wanted to throw out? Thanks for your input. Brandi

Hopefully I will have them bound and washed by Thursday for donating to newborns of needy families. Next up is finish quilting a wedding gift for a cousin and piece a backing for another quilt that

  • How my heart melts

My son can make my heart melt into a big mushy mess in no time. We were cuddling in bed this morning and he wraps his little hand around my fingers and my heart melts. The power little ones hold without even knowing it. have a great day everyone.

  • Not so great at this blogging thing

So I wrote my first blog post a few months ago and haven't done one since. But I want to get more involved in this quilting community so I'll try to stick with it a little more. Since my last post I have completed a couple of quilt tops and long armed quilted a top my mom made for one of her sisters. I have even written a pattern for one of

  • Todays Accomplishments

Like most quilters, I have about a dozen projects I am working on or have lined up to be started. Today I actually worked on three of them. The project I have been working on the longest ( I call it my almost amish quilt) I put one side of a border on, only three more to go. Then cut up some sets off of strips for nine patch blocks, and washed and pressed
