    Everyone uses different techniques for making a quilt. When I recently saw APQS Director of Education Dawn Cavanaugh burying threads, I asked "so how do you do it?"     My trip to the Minnesota Quilter's annual quilt show might have been fast...but it was fun. I worked in the booth with Karen McTavish. Her quilting is beautiful. She has a great sense of humor!   • Mark and Tony on the Wild West Road Show Tour

    If you haven't heard, Mark Caraher and Tony O'Tool from the APQS home office in Iowa have hit the road on a Road Show trip like never before. Last time I checked Iowa did not look like this. They were spotted at Nala's Quilt Shop in Fountain, Colorado. There was even discuss on the forum about what happened at Nala's. I've heard

  • The Next Generation of Quilting

    June 04, 2009 I'm a firm believer that we must cultivate the next generation of quilters and creators. Neighborhood kids have glued buttons to boxes, sewn Halloween quilts, and worked on 4-H projects with me. When I see kids being creative I applaud them (and the adult taking the time to help!). So cheers to Cooper Ketcham (and Dawn Cavanaugh )
