  • Re: Naming Quilts

The main reason I name any of my quilts, is a way to remember, & refer to them. I mean, if you getting to doing alot, how else can you keep track of them. So, in that respect, it's nice if they all have names. Not all mine are named, then again, I have more tops, than quilts, so it's not a problem, yet, lol. Do I name my machines, no, don't

  • Re: Did you work on a quilt today?

I sure did, lol... Kind of new posting here, but this sounded like a good place to start again! I love just taking my time in there, & checking it all out, each time I go! Like you, I do the once a month block thing too, & I love it also. This is my second year doing one. The deal with ours is, we sit for about 45min. first, & hear about what is new in the store & she has new fabrics, books, patterns up front, to share with all

  • Re: What are you working on this weekend?

I am working on a new quilt project called "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler" from Elm Creek Quilters. A group on the Connecting Threads forum is doing it & I decided to join them! It is a sampler, with 140 6-in blocks. Quite a challenge, if you really do all of them. They are thinking, if you do 3 a week, this quilt can be done in one year

  • Re: Think I'm about ready to start cutting!

Sometimes it seems to take forever for me to pick out the fabric, & get to the cutting point. Guess that's why I have gotten into scrappy quilts & using lots of different fabrics in most of my quilts. Kind of speeds this process up a bit, thank goodness!
