  • Autumn wonders

    Created this art quilt for my son and dil. They wanted the salmon designed by Lisa Moore in a vertical format for a specific space in their house. Wove the background together to create river, bank of river, forest, mountain, sunset. They like to hike in the Cascade Mountains of NW WA State especially in the fall to see the larch trees.   • patches of wildflowers

    Use the Wildflowers and More Wildflowers from Smith Street Designs to create my own layout. It was a challenge to bring all the colors together with two different batiks. Quilted as I went and then added a scattering of one of the designs to add interest to the overall pattern. Used smaller versions of the flowers to scatter on the borders.

  • Carolyn's Flowers

    Created this quilt at quilt camp in 2013. The main block is a drunkards path. The flowers came from some left over cuttings from cutting the curved pieces out. Decided to make the center medallion out of them. Then used a Baby Go to make the flowers for the corners and borders. While quilting it, I added outline flowers with my embroidery machine, as

    Sandy, I also machine quilt and machine embroidery and carry my Bernina Artista 200e with me all the time! I never go anywhere without it for the past 5 years! I love it. Carolyn

    Hi Judy, I too am a traveling quilter. We have lived in our MH since 1999. A couple of years ago we got a park model with an extra room in an RV park in AZ for the winters. But I still live in the RV during the six months we aren't in AZ. I mostly make small quilted prayer cloths - www.clothncard.com that I give away (well about 2/3 of what I make
