Good morning everyone. Once again I find myself apologising for not posting. First I want to express my deepest sympathy to all that have lost your loved ones. Suffering the loss of someone you love is the hardest part of living. Even though we are comforted by knowing they are in a better place, it still hurts not to be able to see them, touch them

[quote user="Diane"]I still let people take advantage of me. Some people you can explain to them how it is affecting you and some don't want to know. I had a friend on my floor who starting coming me for everything. I finally had to get mad at her to back off. She knew what she was doing and didn't want to hear it. She is someone who

[quote user="Linny t"] You guys! I got a large squishy package in the mail today and wondered what I forgot I ordered until I saw the return address was Robin's. I didn't know it was from all of you until I went to throw the package away and noticed that the label was an envelope. Now that I've stopped with the tears, I can tell

Gonna do this in a couple stages so it won't be such a long post. Marie, That's great news that your Florida trip will be a happening for you this year. I'd sure love for all of us to be able to meet at Rainbow's End one day, do lunch, and visit for a bit. I'm not sure I can manage this year. I'm in need of a newer vehicle. This

Hey everybody, Can't believe it's Thursday already! The weeks do fly by. Lillie, Looks like the info I read about the quilters cotton is that it a basic cotton fabric that's been screen printed to look like linen. Screen printed means the color stays pretty much on top. Real linen has a quality all it's own. You can see it, and feel

[quote user="Robin"] One thing this experience has taught me is old is a relative term. I never thought of my FIL as a old man. He was always busy and doing, quick moving. At 76 he had as much energy as anyone that I work with, many of who are younger than me. And my mom who is 74 up until her stroke could work circles around me. Even now

Diane, I hope Toni will come around for you. It has to be hard to rescue them at an older age when they're not used to being handled and cared for the way you do. I thought of you when my neighbor invited me in last weekend. They have five kids, and had five bearded dragons in a tank. He was upset because the kids (naturally) had lost interest in

Robin, I'm so sorry your family is having to go through this. I don't blame Donn's mom a bit for wanting to move. Having her dear husband of 32 years pass in that way, and be there for a couple days would have been so devastating to come home to. I was bewildered over it for a couple days in thinking of it, and what she must be going through

[quote user="Robin"] Our family is unfortunately in need of prayer this morning. We lost a very important member of our family yesterday, Donn's Stepdad, the girls remaining Grandpa. His poor wife was returning home from a 9 day bus tour, when she found him dead (probably a heart attack) upon her arrival. Probably 3 days ago. Please keep

Good morning everyone, Marie, I thank God for blessings everyday myself. I'm so happy to read you are getting the bug to quilt again. Winning some pretty fat quarters, and Pat Sloan's advice to just do 10 minutes a day is a great way to get started back. I think, like you, the t he ten minutes would turn into a lot longer. Happy sewing. Share
