  • Re: Here is a little more about me.

Hi Brian welcome and like everyone else would love to see pictures of your quilts. It is wonderful to see a guy here although there may be some that I am not aware of or they have just visited for a brief period. I hope you enjoy being here and everyone that you will meet. Are you going to be a part of the Mystery Quilt2? If you've never done one

  • Re: To Wash or Not To Wash....

I was taught to wash and press all of my fabrics so that is what I have done, however with wallhangings I rarely wash if some of the fabric for it is new. I always wash if the recipient has allergies or is a baby and especially if I am using flannels due to the shrinkage. As always it is personal preference but this is what I learned. Maria

  • Re: Storing Your Stash

I purchased some of those corregated plastic boards from Clotilde's until Helly told me that she was using the bolts from the LQS for free. Then I went to my LQS asked for them and cut them in half and stored them upright in my shelves. They look really nice and as Helly said they do inspire you to do something, of course since she teaches classes

Hi Joy I know you have been on the forum for awhile but I haven't been here since the MQ ended so much, so welcome. My deepest condolences with the loss of your dad. • Re: Merry Christmas from Down under

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Scooter. I too wish we had warm weather we got dumped on also I think it was about 16 inches, too much too fast. Spring can not get here fast enough for those of us that dislike the cold. Although if you don't have to go anywhere the snow is just so beautiful to look at. Maria
