  • 5 inch blocks

Just found in my stash that somewhere I purchased 4 packages of 5 inch blocks. Beautiful material contains 7 difference colors in various patterns. Does anyone have a pattern or an idea of what to make with these blocks. I also have 3 yards of one of the blocks. Thanks, Pat

  • Re: Scrap Happy Quilt Project

I am with you, finally finished my boxy stars. Had to it is a gift for one my daughters for Christmas. Decided this year all 3 were going to get quilts for Christmas, what a stressful decision that was. Putting the border on the last one this evening so I can send it out to a long arm quilter. Will show pictures when I get it back. Pat

  • Re: Suggestions for QCA Poll and Survey Questions?

Another question might be how many quilts have you started only to leave it part way accomplished to start another, And how long did it take you to get back to the first quilt. Not that I have every done this - just kidding. Would love to see how many others share my dilema. Pat

  • Re: What kind of sewing machine do you have?

I have 2 Pfaffs, but the 2170 is my favorite. Recently purchased a Bernina 630 hoping to be able to trade up to the 830. I like the 630 for embrodery since it is real easy to transfer designs by using a flash drive.

  • Re: Nana's Williamsburg Adventure

Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful pictures. Williamsburg is a favorite of my DH and me. Hope you had time to go the restaurant (forgot the name) that has Death by Chocolate for dessert. When we had the dessert, you would have thought it was a scene from when Harry Met Sally. Two other tables ordered the same dessert. Again thanks for sharing

  • Re: What is the best way to add a magnetic closure to a bag?

Thanks for you suggestions. I thought about using plastic but though that might cut the fabric also. I will look around for the Dritz magnet, sounds like a much better idea. I also looked at some of the Vera Bradley quilted purses with magnetics and they have theirs sewn in. Thanks again for the idea. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but have been

Do you think a little stablizer would be to much, I did insert the disk as suggested. Hopefully I will finish the bag this weekend and will post a picture. Not sure of the name of the pattern, something with grommins.
