• Re: Oregon retreat report

Thanks for the pictures and the reporting, Judy. It looks like a lovely place for a retreat. And it must have been fun meeting so many fresh faces. I, too, admire the ladies that traveled so far from home alone. I admire the lady from New Brunswick most of all. Such a brave lady.

I was able to meet Eleanor Burns at Quilt Market. I took her school house presentation on the Friday of Market. She is sooooo funny. She kept us rolling during her presentation. I had so much fun at Market. That was my first time to Houston. We didn't stay for festival. I went with my shop owner and two other employees from the shop. It was totally

Somehow I have wound up with two accounts here and I can get on one account with my iPad and the other account with my pc. So if you notice a different avatar for me, it is still the same Elaine Phillips. Crazy, I know, but this all happened when the site was crazy and Im rolling with it. I have not worked on a quilt today, I somehow slept the day away
  • Re: What quilt star would you like to meet?

I have met Barbara Brackman, Deb Rowden, Barb Eckmeier, Terry Clothier Thompson, Shelley Burge, Jo Morton, Kathy Delaney, Carol Hopkins, Pam Buda, Candy Hargraves, and many more. We have a lot of the KC Star authors come to our guild at times. I would like to meet Edyta Sitar. We are so lucky here in the Mid West to have so many great quilters.

Susie, prayers for you getting the house. That will be awesome! I'm sorry to hear of all your losses, CC. Prayers for you all. Zoetc, I have my Platinum 16 sitdown quilting machine in front of my large picture window in my studio. I love looking out the window as I quilt. I have been putting fabric away all day. I had to empty out my fabric pantries

Thea, I hope you are feeling better. I love your dog park. Agnes, your Loon quilt is charming. Love it. Kris, your apple core is cute. Love the colors. And your LUS block is great, as usual. I didn't go back very far on the posts so hope I didn't miss anyone. I'm working on Garden Party, and studying up for my class on Color and Design that
Judy--Thank you, thank you. That answers my question beautifully. So I know to order quantities specified.
Agnes, when I bought my fabric and pattern the shop owner told me it only takes 4 skeins of Cosmos floss. That is what she sold me.
  • Re: General Discussion

I've been AWOL for a while. I'm loving all the blocks. I need to get back to this LUS. I'm teaching a color and design class, and am starting a BOM that I will be running in September, and am trying to get that going. Plus I just got back from Augusta, GA and Savannah for a week. And I am leaving tomorrow on a road trip with a friend to
